Allow students to experience the Atlantic Slave Trade by exploring different primary and secondary sources.

Students will examine pictures and illustrations that show different aspects of the Atlantic Slave Trade from the time of capture to the journey on a slave ship.

Students will also read two differing accounts of the Atlantic Slave Trade from the perspectives of a slave and slave trader.

After combing through the sources, students will take what they have examined and read to answer insightful questions that will really make them think about what they have just studied about this horrific time in history.
