Thank you for viewing my activity! Here is some guidance on how to use this effectively in the classroom.
This activity is for you to introduce the atom to students. With this activity they will get the basic information of the two main locations in the atom, nucleus and the electron cloud. This activity introduces students to the names, charges, and masses of the particles in an atom. The students will also practice using the Periodic Table to identify parts of the element box and correlate that information with the amount of particles in an atom, and how the number of those particles are determined.
There is an answer key included. This activity will require some kind of colored manipulative so students can visualize the different types of particles in an atom.
