In this atomic structure modeling activity, students practice drawing Bohr Models and calculating subatomic particles for neutral atoms, isotopes and charged atoms. The worksheet includes 26 Bohr Models for elements up to atomic number 30. The isotopes and charged atoms are on different pages so that you can use them separately if you like.
The activity begins with drawing procedures and orbital filling directions. I've found that this exercise helps students visualize how changes in the number of subatomic particles affect the atomic structure.
Also included is the blank Bohr Model graphic from the worksheets, which can be used for demonstrations or on tests. (Note: For personal use only.)
