Why color with your upper elementary and middle school students? Why not? Research shows that coloring is not just for primary students anymore. There are many benefits to coloring at any age. Coloring can provide a therapeutic experience for students as they relax while they work. More importantly, there is also research which says that this type of activity allows students to use both sides of their brain while working which increases focus and comprehension of the task they are working on. Older students will thoroughly enjoy this type of activity. It will fit effortlessly into your blended learning classroom.

This teaching lesson was designed and used with my grade 7 small group and inclusion physical science classes.
