Description

This interactive dominoes style game with full teacher key teaches or reviews vocabulary for atoms and periodic table. Vocabulary covered: element, atom, electron, proton, neutron, ion, isotopes, metalloids, halogens, noble gases, atomic number, periodic table of the elements, atomic mass, groups, valence electrons, periods, metals, alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, non-metals, valence electrons, nucleus, series, family, and chemical symbol. Large sized dominoes for group work as well as a smaller sized set for small spaces or home use are included. Full rules and a few blank dominoes are included. Approximately one class period in length. Could be adapted to be shorter or longer based on teacher preference. Although aligned with Texas State standards this activity will be a great resource for any curriculum that includes periodic table and atoms.
