This spreadsheet could be used for attendance only or for attendance and homework like I do (explained below).
As it is, it prints on one page - landscape view.
The vertical blanks at the top are where I would write the date and/or homework assignment.
I would print a new one for each new unit (changing the unit number before printing). One spreadsheet has enough room for 5 weeks. If a unit lasted longer than five weeks I would print another one with the same unit number at the top to use.
The spreadsheet is editable. It has room for 25 students and you could add more if needed.
How I use this spreadsheet:
I have used this method for keeping up with attendance and also homework for each of my math classes. In math where I teach, students got one homework grade per math unit. The HW grade depended on how many times they attempted the homework, out of how many times it was checked for. So I would walk around the classroom with the sheet on my clipboard and check for HW - if they had it they got a "check" and if they didn't an "x." If they were not there that day I would put "A" for absent. This way, I had a record of not only attendance, but also how many times they did their homework during the unit. This information was very helpful to show parents during parent/teacher conferences. :)
