This is a fun, comprehensible input-based story for novice French students. Students will read about Pauline and Gérard, two characters who go out for lunch at a real Parisian café, Le Café Gourmand.
Students will read a description of the characters, see how they interact with the waiter, and learn what they order to eat. The language is simple and repetitive in order to maximize student understanding. There are about 100 unique words in the story, with a total word count of 265.
This product includes a Teacher Notes page that provides several ideas for how you can use this story in your classroom. Depending on how you choose to use the story, it can take about one class period or up to several class periods to complete.
