A Cat in the Classroom presents: Audacity Tutorial
Audacity is a free recording and sound editing program. It is a great program to use to create podcasts, radio shows/interviews, and any other media project you could think of! All you would need is the program itself and a headset with a microphone. (Supposedly you can also use ear buds as low budget microphones by plugging them into the mic plug on a computer.)
This tutorial contains screenshots and step by step instructions on how to use the program, its main features, and how to successfully export a finished product. It is written in clear language so that students can use the tutorial as a tool while independently work on their project.
Examples of media projects done in the past using Audacity include: podcasts, talk shows, radio shows, interviews, speech, commercials, media analysis, and more!
