Auditory memory is an important skill for language development. This packet contains four different activities to target auditory memory.
Auditory Memory for Sentences– Read the sentence out loud to your student, and have students repeat it exactly for you. Contains 6-10 syllable sentences. Use the game board as a reinforcing activity.

Summer Riddles– Read the three clues to your student. Have them try to guess the summer item you are describing. If they guess correctly, they get to put the card on their beach scene board. There are also pictures that can be used as visual cues for guessing the riddles.

Auditory Memory for Summer Stories– Show your student a picture, and read the story that goes with it. Ask the questions. If they get the questions correct, they get to keep the picture.
(12 picture cards, 12 story and question cards)
Summer Story Retelling- Read the story out loud to your student. Have the student retell the story using as many details as possible. Score the story on the rubric provided.
