Looking for a fun way to integrate tech and bring learning to life for your students? This set of task cards are not your ordinary task cards- they contain Augmented Reality embedded in each card so that students can self-check their work! Especially great for ELL or SpEd learners. For a quick tutorial on getting started with Augmented Reality, check out my video on How to Use My Augmented Reality Items
There are 16 elapsed time word problem cards in this set and two recording sheets.
- 8 cards focusing on time to 5 minute intervals
- 8 cards focusing on time to the minute
Also included is an "I need help" graphic that brings up a video showing how to solve similar problems.
For those who don't wish to break out the technology, I've also included answer cards so that students can self-check the old-fashioned way, without the need for a device. If you do feel like integrating technology, students can self-check using the Aurasma app.
This can be used in a variety of ways from center work, to partner work to individual early-finisher work. Suggestions for use are included within.
Set this up as a tech center for iPads, iPhones, or Android devices. Each device only needs the FREE Aurasma app.
Teacher Notes- Aurasma
Aurasma is a free app that allows you to bring learning to life with Augmented Reality. Simply download the app onto your iPad, iPhone, or android device or smartphone. Print up the cards and bring in your device (or have students bring theirs)- no more prep is needed.
*Note* In order for the auras I have created for these cards to appear for you, you MUST follow my channel. You can do that by using the QR code or going here: http://auras.ma/s/U04TN .
Once you have the Aurasma app and have followed my channel, all students need to do to use the cards is open the Aurasma app (it automatically opens in scan mode) and train the camera on the task card. The correct answer will appear.
*Please note that laminating the cards often causes glare and the app will have trouble accessing the auras.
