I read somewhere that, “For teachers, the month of August is one, long Sunday night”. There is a TON of work that goes into that neat, clean, beautifully decorated and organized room a child walks into on the first day of school. And that’s only the part that’s seen. Like an iceberg, there is SO much more that’s happened, even if it is not visible.
Art teachers need to have a curriculum in place; supplies ordered, organized and stored; and the room arranged and decorated. All of this is especially challenging to new art teachers. For the newbies and the veterans, here are some "Helpful Hints and Procedures".
