If you’re students are anything like mine, they spend a lot of time in the restroom! I figured that as long as they were in there, they might as well be learning something. That’s how I came around to the idea of Stall Talk. Stall Talk can be hung in each stall, or you could hang it by the sinks or water fountains. If that’s not really your thing, you could also hang them in common waiting areas- hallways, lockers/cubbies, bus areas, etc. It is the perfect way to spiral review skills, facts, and vocabulary. Included are 5 weeks worth of Stall Talks. Each week has: a vocabulary definition and example, fact practice or mental math, skill work, and a math joke or interesting fact based on math content. The skills and vocabulary correlate the the 3rd grade Common Core standards. This would also be appropriate to use with 2nd or 4th grade.
