In this file, you will find 20 writing prompts for the month of August (and of course some you can reuse later on!).
Each writing prompt includes a question, and has a checklist that students go through to make sure they are truly finished with their writing prompt.
What I like to do with these is cut them in half with a precision cutter and laminate them. Then, I hole punch the top and put them on a key ring. My kids do these in stations, but you could also put them on the SmartBoard, white board, etc. Then, my students have a writing journal (I cut them in half) that they write their response in each day.
These are very easy tools to get your students writing.
