With twenty-four embedded project options for students to work on in and out of class, this assignment for Austen's Emma has you covered for all student work in your Emma unit. Students choosing to work toward an A will complete six in-class options and two out-of-class. Students choosing to work toward a B will complete four in-class options and two out-of-class. Students choosing to work toward a C will complete three in-class options and one out-of-class.
This project is all about choice. Students can choose options that trend toward their own interests and strengths, and they can choose whether to work entirely independently or with a partner for several options.
As for you, all you need to do is photocopy the assignment, schedule in-class working days and homework nights for the project, and then grade it with the included rubric. Your Emma unit will take care of itself.
