The cubes used in this project were approximately .75 inch. Both popular brands seem to be this size.
I laminate these sheets or put them in plastic sleeves. At the center I place a container of the cubes for students to take out and snap together to make as tall or long as the animal. Students can then count the cubes and use the recording sheet to mark how many cubes long or tall the animal is.
