85 original, authentic photos that I took in July 2016 in the Dominican Republic. Most are in Santiago, but also towns between Santiago and Rio San Juan.
They are ideal for having students guess what is being advertised and see authentic culture of Spanish speaking country. They are a great bell-ringer activity - project one a day on the screen! Or print and give a different one to each kid, having them present to the class what they understand. The images usually are not just of the sign but have a scene that could be used to practice descriptions in Spanish as well.
A few cultural notes (vocabulary specific to the DR):
colmados= convenience stores like 7-11 for snacks or other vices
bancas= lottery tickets purchased here (not banks)
La Sirena= a specific department store like Walmart
