This product contains 24 Author’s POV/Perspective cards that are school themed…who doesn’t love to debate topics that take place in a school setting? Students are asked to read the information on a particular topic on the card and determine what point of view the author is writing from: objective, biased positive, or biased negative. Students have to answer correctly to move forward, but even then they may risk being sent back to “the principal’s office!” Game board and student directions are included.
I know not all teachers can fit these types of games into their day, so I included directions, recording sheets, and an answer if you wanted to use these cards as a SCOOT activity, or even as task cards.
I loved listening to the conversations my students were having about Author's POV. The way they justified their answers to each other was amazing...and they gave their own opinions on the topics, too!
