In literature, the author introduces the point of view (P.O.V.) which helps a student learn how a story is narrated or being told. The author’s point of view influences the reader in determining their understanding of the story as it unfolds and helps the students learn to connect and understand the events in a story. The most common point of view techniques is the first person and third person. This downloadable comes with a poster to display in the classroom environment and bookmarkers. Each P.O.V. has a visual cue to help the students remember each specific point of view. Bookmarkers can be run off and cut as half sheet per child, or each bookmark can be run off and given as the point of view is being introduced.
