Product Description
In literature, the author introduces the point of view (P.O.V.) which helps a student learn how a story is narrated or being told. The author’s point of view influences the reader in determining their understanding of the story as it unfolds and helps the students learn to connect and understand the events in a story.
The most common point of view techniques is the first person and third person. The hardest part for the students is the 3 categories of third person P.O.V. This downloadable comes with a poster to display in the classroom environment and a foldable to help the students understand 3rd person point of view. Each P.O.V. has a visual cue to help the students remember each specific point of view. The foldable can be run off and used to reinforce the point of view as it is being introduced. The posters/chart can be used in a center, added to teacher’s anchor chart/notebook. The chart can be run off and placed in the children’s classroom environment to be used during work time, small groups, or while the children are working independently. The poster may stand alone when teaching or be added to anchor charts to allow easy student reference.
