This is one of my most popular items! Get your students excited about learning with file folder centers and games! This file folder game focuses on the reading skill of identifying author's purpose. You get everything you need to put together the center, all in full color: a cover, directions for the teacher and the students, the game board, and 36 self-checking game cards. You supply the file folder, glue, scissors, and an envelope or baggie to assemble the center, and a die or spinner and player markers (color counters work well) for students to play.
Examples on the cards include titles, scenarios, and quotes for students to identify as informing, persuading, or entertaining. The game is great for independent practice or preview/review for pairs or small groups of students.
If you like it, please leave a review and check out my other products! I have several other file folder games in my store, and several resources for teaching literacy. Have an idea for a great resource? You can email me at the address listed below!
Please do not copy this resource for an entire grade level or school. If your colleagues like the activity, please send them to Teachers Pay Teachers! Thank you!
