Your kids will be happy, happy, happy when you use this activity to practice author's purpose! This activity is set up like the game, Scoot and includes 27 cards, answer sheet, and answer key.
To play, put one card on each desk and give each student an answer sheet. Students read the card and decide if the author's purpose is persuade, inform, or entertain. They then write P, I, or E in the corresponding box. When you say scoot, they leave the card and move to the next desk and answer the question. Play continues until all boxes have been completed.
