Tone Matching Exercise- Partner Activity
This fun activity familiarizes students with words commonly used to describe tone. You can use the scramble-n-sort for a preliminary activity and then use the words as a vocabulary list. This lesson is also a great way to teach the subtle differences in connotations-- how one word "straight-forward" can have positive connotations, while "blunt" can have negative ones.
