SUGGESTED IEP GOALS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION:
Given a developmentally appropriate grade level text, STUDENT will read and choose the correct answers, in 4 out of 5 consecutive opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
Given a short reader read aloud by the teacher, STUDENT will listen to the story and choose the correct answer by pointing, saying it, or marking it, in 4 out of 5 consecutive opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
Given a short reader read aloud by the teacher, STUDENT will compare two stories and identify two similarities or differences, in 4 out of 5 consecutive opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
Given a passage with up to five sentences accompanied by a picture or illustration to aid with comprehension, STUDENT will answer one question per page by marking, saying, or indicating answer on a voice-output device, in 4 out of 5 consecutive opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
Given repetitive text with no more than five lines of text and one verbal prompt, STUDENT will read the story with correctly, in 4 out of 5 consecutive opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
Given a short story read aloud by the teacher accompanied with pictures to color on each page, STUDENT will choose appropriate color crayons and complete the pictures, in 4 out of 5 consecutive opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
