Power Cards are a useful tool to use with students on the Autism spectrum. Power Cards introduce a social story, with characters that are familiar to the student. On the back of the Power Card, students can find a checklist of behaviors or rules to follow in different situations. The Power Cards should be available for students to reference throughout the day. I designed these Power Cards so that you can print them out, fold them in half, and laminate them for durability.
I personally used these in my classroom with a student and found them very successful. I needed something for a student with Aspergers, who had a high reading level. The picture social stories were too primary for him and these worked perfectly. Enjoy!
