I created this mini-unit within a larger autobiographies and memoirs unit. Students chose the autobiography or memoir that they wanted to read and met with their literature circles once a week to discuss and analyze what they had read.
This packet comes with four double-sided literature circle worksheets for four separate literature circle meetings! You can choose to have students take on one or two sections each time, or, as I have, mandate that students fill out all sections each time with the exception of students for whom I accommodate. I highlighted the sections I wanted them to complete each week. This is great for differentiation!
BONUS LESSON! Time management is a weakness for many secondary school students (6-12th grade). This packet also includes a double-sided calendar and pacing guide that helps students decide how many pages they will read by each reading deadline based on what other activities and obligations they have going on that week! You can take it for a grade or just use it as a great organization tool!
You'll also find a sheet for writing down your literature circle groups, so that you can keep track of who is working with whom!
All sheets are ordered in a printer friendly manner so that you can print them off double-sided!
