This PowerPoint file is a wonderful presentation about autosomal dominance inheritance. Students will be shown how this pattern differs from Autosomal Recessive inheritance. During the PowerPoint, students are asked to complete various genetic pedigrees and Punnett Squares as they examine fictional families. I have also included a “fill-in-the-blank” style worksheet to accompany these notes for you to distribute to your students if you wish. There are 14 slides in this PowerPoint, which contains a very nice collection of images and animations to assist with understanding. All pictures used are in the “public domain” so there is no worry of copyright violation. At the end is a quick practice quiz for your students to try if you wish to check for understanding.
