Autumn is a time of balance between day and night; a transition until the night comes longer and brings the winter.
Autumn shows us that everything is slowly dying, going to sleep before a new birth.
I have created this set of tasks to be done during the month of September or any other month during fall time and related to ELA and Maths' subjects in first grade!
You will find a variety of tasks:
color autumn leaves reading a poem
students create their own poem
circle the vowels
write the alphabet letters
write vowels with fall pictures
color lowercase and uppercase letters
write and draw "I like fall because..."
color by sight words
find the words in the wordsearch
Look at the scarecrow picture and write short sentences telling the reason why the scarecrow is happy
Make a list of the classmates' birthdates for September, October and November fall time
Numbers from 0 to 10 flashcards
get some ideas to practice numbers
write and resolve using flascards
write the numbers from 1 to 10 (leaves theme)
classify numbers according to numbers
Do the sums
follow the pattern
color according to number (apple graphics)
0 to 9 families for multiplication
