Happy Fall!! Fall/ Autumn has always been one of my favorite themes to teach and it has always been my favorite time of year! I love the sweater weather and the vibrant colors. To help bring these colors to life in my classroom, I have always used photographs along with the stories I read. I feel that this helps to bring the world to the children's fingertips. So I have created this gallery of photographs of everything Autumn! The file consists of 69 pictures. (The pictures were taken by me at a local farm.) There are pictures of the following: apples, apple trees, autumn flowers, corn fields, a pumpkin in every stage of the life cycle, and much more!
Some ideas for using the pictures: clip art for activities, realism for a science center, compare and contrast in literature, life cycle photos in science discussions, extensions for after a story, display in a classroom, etc. You could also use the pictures as a slideshow for inspiration during creative writing!
