dollarsunday recently read the story "There Was an Old Lady who Swallowed Some Leaves" to my wiggleworms after lunch to settle them down. (I think it was a full moon!) They loved the story so much, and I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice to have some follow-up activities for this?" And here it is!
This story lends itself to sequencing, so I made 10 sequencing cards for the kids to retell the story in their own words. I also included a scarecrow craft activity that you can have the kids make after reading the story, or interactively as you read the story. I also included an alphabetical order worksheet and an adjective worksheet.
BONUS worksheet -- As a special bonus, I've included a sequence chain graphic organizer worksheet along with pictures for the children to cut, glue, and color in the correct sequence of the story. This worksheet is not included in the preview. You can see it in the thumbnails.
So much autumn fun in one packet!
