Autumn Multiplication: Isolated Facts
This is a minimal prep game to reinforce fluency with basic multiplication and division facts.
Two players per page.
This game focuses on only one set of multiplication tables per game board (the #2 board will have only products of 2). The directions for this game is slightly different than the standard factor four in a row games because the math facts are practiced in isolation. Full instructions are provided for teacher and students.
As students develop their own strategies for the game, they will determine unknown numbers in multiplication equations relating three whole numbers such as 8 x ?=48.
Remind students to check their partner's facts before allowing him or her to mark the board. Both players must agree to the answer. This keeps all students focused on the task at hand and leaves no idle time.
Blank game boards: Students choose the number to practice multiplying. They take turns filling the empty boxes with multiples of this number. This provides an extra review before starting the game.
