Grades 1-3. Ten inference pages are in this product; enough for two weeks of practice. This file is formatted exactly like my smaller file: I Can Infer. These activities for inference are based upon first grade core standards for reading fiction, but it can also be used through third grade as intervention material. I am going to use it mostly in grades 1-2 in my small group ELL classes.
This product has 10 inference pages rather than the one inference page in my smaller product! They are consistent in format so that kids will understand as soon as they see the pages, what they will need to do once they have done one of them. They are helpful for having the students read small sections of text fluently; especially good for the lower grades because their attention spans are shorter!
It includes 10 inference worksheets and two stationary pages to mix and match for literacy centers or homework. It also has four inference task cards that could be used for interactive journals or literacy centers.
These bonus task cards at the end of the file are the same as my free inference file so please note this when printing to save ink if you have already downloaded and printed the sample file.
These activities for inference are based upon first grade core standards for reading fiction, but it can also be used through third grade as intervention material. The core standards I feel are best supported by this file are: R.F.1.4. R.L1.3. R.L.1.4. R.L. 1.7.
