This aligns with, but is not limited to, Avancemos 1 Unit 5 lesson 2. You can either print this out for pair work or project it. There are 3 communicative activities. I use this in class as a warm-up or as a class activity. Alternatively, I have modified the directions and given this as a written homework assignment.
There are 3 activities:
1. Students take turns in stating who does which chore in their house with what frequency. There are also reactions to give.
2. Students take turns and put 3 actions (most of these are verbs from the unit) and put them in sequential order using transition words.
3. Role-play: Parent and child. Here, the parent state what needs to be done using terms from the chapter (deber, hay que...) and the student needs to respond that the chores have already been completed using ACABAR DE + INFINITIVE.
This takes about 20 minutes, but it can be expanded by asking follow-up questions and taking a survey of the whole class.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out my other Realidades 1 and 2 and Avancemos 1 materials.
Have a great year!
