This document was prepared to give an oral exam to my students, based on the grammar and vocabulary units of the Avancemos 2 textbook. I wrote out the targeted functions prior to the "role play" option for each unit. The way I do oral exams is as follows: There are TWO sections that combine to form an individual's grade. The first part is the partner role play. (THIS IS WHAT THIS DOCUMENT IS.) Students are told in advance what the role play possibilities are, so that they may prepare. This document contains one role play per unit. The idea is that it forces students to prepare all of the grammar and vocabulary, making the second part of my oral exam (simply questions for each unit) basically already studied. Students also feel really good knowing they have totally prepared for half of their oral exam.
Spanish is used even for instructions at my school. I realize not all schools are like this so I added a final page in which I rewrote the instructions from the first page in English. All role plays are explained in English already.
Of note: I put "la Señora" in red on the first page so that anyone who is not will know to change this to suit his/her gender/marital status. :-)
