This is a magic square game to practice the vocabulary of Unidad 3 Lección 2 of the textbook Avancemos 3. To use it, make copies of the document (this will serve as the answer key). I always make my copies on cardstock so the paper is sturdier. Cut apart the squares and place them in an envelope (or a baggie). Students have to put the puzzle back together again by matching the Spanish words with their English equivalents. The puzzle will challenge your students because there are some repeats and words around the edge that don't have a match.
(If you want to be able to give your students a hint later, you can make a small dot on one of the squares before you make copies. Later if students get stuck, you can tell them where the square with the dot belongs in the puzzle. The hint may or may not be necessary, but it will be there in case you need it.)
