This worksheet aligns with, but is not limited to, Avancemos 3 Unit 3 Lesson 1. It would work well for any unit on the environment.
There are 5 sections.
In the first section, students are given a definition and they need to write down the word. There are 10 of these.
In the next section, students need to write the opposite of the noun/verb provided.
In the third section, there is a personal question that students may answer in a few sentences.
In the fourth section, students are asked to write sentences in the PRETERITE and then in the FUTURE based on provided scenarios.
Finally, the fifth section has environmental problems listed, and students need to match it with the correct solution.
Please note, I primarily used Avancemos 3 Unit 3 lesson 1 vocabulary. However, I added some cognates like contaminación, reciclar, and paneles solares. Students are usually able to grasp those, but please consider that you may wish to preview it with your students as you assign it.
This is very adaptable. I have given it as a warm-up, homework, individual work in class, or pair/small group work. I have even modified it and added a word bank in English/Spanish, assigned point values, and given it as a quiz! You can cover all of the bases by adding a listening section. I have also used this as a springboard for discussion in an AP class.
An answer key is included.
