Find out what your students remember from Spanish level one with this fun cross-out vocabulary game. Students get in pairs and get one page of scrambled words to share. Each of the students has a different color highlighter marker or simply a different color pen. I then call out the word in English and students look for the word in Spanish. The first student that marks the word -by highlighting, circling, crossing-out, etc. gets a point. Each pair of students keeps up with their points. After calling out the majority (or all) of the words I get the names of the winners of the game. I usually give a couple of points on an upcoming vocabulary quiz or candy to the winners. Half the class gets a prize. It's friendly competition and really helps with Spanish vocabulary. This is in PDF format to maintain the integrity of the layout. The second sheet is for the teacher.
