Product Description
Do your students often copy/paste items into their multimedia presentations or papers, not realizing the problem of plagiarism? I teach 5th graders, and I have had a lot of students simply copy and paste text or pictures into their work, thinking it's ok! It's time to teach them about PLAGIARISM! This lesson includes a 2-page document as well as a PowerPoint presentation explaining what plagiarism is, how to correctly paraphrase, and how to cite sources. It gives several examples of good and bad paraphrases and citations, as well as an example for students to practice with. It doesn't get into the nitty gritty APA or MLA formatting with citing sources, but it's a good introduction to how to give authors credit and paraphrase without copying words or structure.
