This bundle includes note sheets on snow day activities (sleeping late, seeing friends, building a snowman) and uses the vocabulary to help show the difference between using avoir and être verbs in the passé composé. There is a guided class version of the note sheet as well along with a quick reference file that explains how I use the guided notes in class.
There is also a note sheet on using direct object pronouns (DOPs) in passé composé. I present DOPs in the present tense before this unit and combine them with a recipe project so these notes pull from the vocabulary needed for cooking and I've included the list in this bundle.
For assessment there is a quiz on DOPs in the passé composé and a packet of practice activities that could also become assessments if needed.
For a culminating assessment I ask my students to come up with an activity that they present to the class showing that they understand the passé composé in its entirety. Students can make a review lesson (PowerPoint), a game, write a song, or make a skit. There are endless possibilities for this project. I've included a content rubric and a presentational one as well for use if desired. Feel free to tailor them to your liking.
