These awesome Christmas printables will excite your students about language arts! The first lesson allows students to identify parts of speech in existing Christmas sentences and then create their own sentences (and identify nouns, verbs, and adjectives). Through constructing their own meaning and having choice, students are highly motivated!
There is a sentence correction page with capitalization, punctuation, and spelling errors. There are two figurative language pages in this bundle as well. Students will become familiar with similes, personification, and hyperboles using common Christmas items such as snowmen, stockings, etc. The figurative language examples students come up with are quite hilarious and fun to share aloud. A fifth page has students write out their wish list to Santa, within which they then need to identify parts of speech.
For Christmas this year, show your students that language arts can be fun!
