This activity gets students out of their seats to practice math.
This set includes 10 question cards and a student answer sheet for students to complete. The teacher puts the cards around the room in a random order. Students can work independently or in small groups (2 or 3 per group) to solve all problems. Each student or group starts at a different card. Once they get the answer, they find the correct answer on another card and record that letter, then the students’ complete the problem on that card, and continue until they have completed all cards. If students do all problems correctly, they end up at the first card they completed.
Once students have completed all ten cards, they unscramble the letters to find the answer to the question on the student answer sheet.
After students complete all problems correctly, I like to reward them with a piece of candy from my treasure box.
I have included an answer key for the teacher.
