In this lesson, groups of students will simulate tribes. They will roll dice to determine their fate. They will pick a "tribute" or goods that they manufacture to use as tokens of their economy. Then, they will either be conquered and have to give up their tribute, or conquer and take tribute from others. This is a lesson that is meant to address the standards of understanding economic systems of the Aztecs. Then, they fill out a response sheet to record how they would have felt as tribe members.
