Just read and repeat!
This lesson is the fourth of twelve in the Upper Intermediate section of the Learn English Now course and teaches the essence of Phrasal Verbs, how they are formed, and gives several examples.
As with all the other lessons in this course, the teacher simply writes each new word on the board for the student to copy, then reads out the phrases clearly and distinctly. The students learn by listening and repeating, whilst their pronunciation is monitored and corrected. So simple to use, no graphics, no games, no preparation.
These lessons can be used one-on-one, or with a class of students. Each lesson is exactly 4 pages long, ideal for one hour, and has exercises (with answer key) at the end. The words and phrases should be written down in the student’s notebooks during the class while the exercises are printed and given out for homework.
A lot of the course is given in question and answer format so students can learn how to form questions correctly in English. Commonly used idioms are explained, and new vocabulary is written in both English and phonetics (see Lesson A0.01) to help with pronunciation. Additional lessons will be available using Dictonetics™ and Comprehension.
