Bingo version #2
This oral language activity helps set the tone for a positive and friendly classroom climate, as students get to know their classmates by asking and answering basic questions in French. Questions are in both "est-ce que" and inverted subject-verb order constructions. Answers must be spoken using a complete sentence in the affirmative or in the negative. Each affirmative full sentence answer allows the bingo card holder to acquire a signature for a square of their bingo card. There are 16 squares to fill.
Depending on your students, you may wish to read through the vocabulary as a class prior to the activity.
Follow up activity: the winner reads out each question along with the name of the student who signed that square. The remaining members of the class can raise their hand if they agree with the statements as they are being read as well. Seasonal or bright stationery is a fun option for this interactive back to school activity. Suitable for French Immersion and Core French. 20-30 minutes.
