I have seen a similar game - Kaboom!
This game I use for reinforcing the Times Tables - 0 - 12.
I printed this out on heavy card-stock and then laminated it before cutting out the strips --- to make it easier for me, I used zig-zag scissors and cut the end that should go up in the cup (to prevent students from seeing what is on the stick). The rest of the stick (the remaining 3 sides) I cut with straight scissors.
I put in 4 sticks where the students get a 'freebie' and 12 "BANG" sticks - if a student draws a BANG they have to put all their sticks back in the cup.
Put all the sticks in the cup and each student picks a stick and has to answer the multiplication question - if it is correct they get to keep the stick, if not they return it to the cup. Student with the most sticks at the end of the game wins.
I saw this and it was suggested you do this on Popsicle sticks. I'm teaching in Thailand at the moment and I can't get good quality Popsicle sticks, hence my using card stock.
