BASE TEN Counting Place Value Task Cards TASK BOX FILLER - Special Education Resource

Understanding Base Ten in Tens and Ones

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH THIS SET?

There are 100 task cards in this “Task Box Filler” set! Students gain an understanding using clear visuals to count Base Ten with tens and ones.

IS THIS TASK CARD SET EASY TO SET UP?

Yes, it sure is! Just print on white card stock paper for durability and laminate. NO velcro needed!

HOW CAN MY STUDENTS THAT HAVE FINE MOTOR CHALLENGES USE THIS?

This Base Ten “Task Box Filler” set helps students gain strength by pinching a clothespin, marking the correct number with a thin dry erase marker, pointing to the answer, or even just saying the response!

HOW DO I STORE THIS TASK CARD SET?

Oh, SO easy! I use a clear shoe box bin for storage and for my kids to use at Independent Task Centers. The bins store easily in your classroom cubbies, shelves, or even stack on top of a table or shelf. Each set contains an interchangeable bin label.

DOES THE TASK CARD SET COME WITH SUGGESTED IEP GOALS?

Yes! Here they are:

(1.) Given cubes to count, or a picture representing a base ten number, STUDENT will count the groups of tens and ones by marking, pointing to, clipping, or saying the correct number out of a field of three possible number choices, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

(2.) Given cubes to count, or a picture representing a base ten number, along with __________(verbal/visual/gestural prompts/or independently), STUDENT will count the groups of tens and ones by marking, pointing to, clipping, or saying the correct number out of a field of three possible number choices, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
