Use robotics to increase literacy. Reading word families is an important skill for beginning readers. This resource is designed to be used with a programmable BEE BOT robot. It's the perfect addition to your literacy centers. Use it as part of guided reading or your RTI groups. This BEE-BOT resource includes 16 color and 15 blk and white picture squares. Suggestions for using this resource.
I've used this to make 2 different mats, one with words and one with pictures. I have my students choose a card and read the word, then program the BeeBot to the corresponding picture. I also use it the opposite way. The kids can identify the picture and read the words on the mat and program the BEEBOT to the correct picture. Laminate the programming and have the kids write their code.
