Are you ready to use robotics and coding to teach literacy? Robotics is a fun way to increase student engagement and interest in reading. You can reach your most challenging kids. This resource is designed to be used with a programmable BEE BOT robot. It's the perfect addition to your literacy centers. Use it as part of guided reading or your RTI groups. This BEE-BOT resource includes 16 picture squares. Each square should be cut out and made into a BEE-BOT mat. There is 1 “start here “ square, 1 squares with the "at family" house. 7 squares with the words king, swing, sting, wing, sing, ring, and sling. There are 7 matching picture squares. I've included 15 matching cards.
Suggestions for using this resource.
I've used this to make 2 different mats, one with words and one with pictures. I have my students choose a card and read the word, then program the BeeBot to the corresponding picture. I also use it the opposite way. The kids can identify the picture and read the words on the mat and program the BEEBOT to the correct picture.
