This activity can be used as a PowerPoint/SMARTBoard activity or it can be printed out and used as a hard copy. Many of my Speech/Language students have great difficulty understanding the concepts of BEFORE and AFTER as it relates to a sequence of items (i.e., the alphabet). As you move through the lesson slides, the text on most slides will enter the screen with visually-stimulating transitions. This lesson has a Pre- and Post- Test, Answer Key, and practice screens/pages allowing you to determine if your students truly understand the concepts. Numerous visual cues are provided and faded as the lesson progresses: bold print, colored text, directional arrows, etc. I've used this lesson with many of my students and found it to be very helpful. Spec. Ed teachers have asked to use it as well.
