Do you want to motivate students to read simple cvc words and find the corresponding pictures? This resource is just for you and will surely engage students! In this pack you will find 82 fun and interactive jigsaw puzzles. There are puzzles for each short vowel sound: a, e, i, o & u.
On each page you can find two puzzles.
Students reveal the secret word by placing letter tiles* with the beginning sound above each small picture! Then they read the word and find the jigsaw piece with the corresponding picture.
*Please note that you could use other manipulatives such as unfix cubes with letters instead of the letter tiles. You could also ask children to write the letters using a dry erase marker. For the latter, do not forget to laminate the jigsaw pieces.
