Product Description

When introducing students to the library I love to use the book Biblioburro: a true story from Colombia by Jeanette Winter. The true story of Luis Soriano and whimsical illustrations of this book are fun ways to get young readers excited about reading and library while also bringing a positive message about sharing and helping others. It can also be used to discuss the what types of books are friction and non-fiction, with true stories being non-fiction. It can also be used to tie language arts together with geography or social studies by discussing the country of Columbia or South America.
